About Austin
A proud Canadian who leads with kindness and curiosity, Austin Sora has built a performing career that spans musical theatre, concert dance, and commercial work. She has toured North America with The Phantom of the Opera and was a company member with Bruce Wood Dance, performing with the company at Jacob's Pillow. Austin has participated in choreographic labs for The Public Theater, Disney, and RWS Entertainment Group. In the commercial world, Austin has worked with Grammy nominated rapper Lil Uzi Vert in his music video "Demon High," and can be seen in commercials for Patrón Tequila, Society6, and Beachbody, among others. She has choreographed for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' 34th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition and has assisted Emmy Award winning choreographer Marguerite Derricks at Broadway Dance Center. Austin is currently a company member at Woman In Motion in New York City.
Passionate about work at the intersection of advocacy and the arts, Austin has an extensive background in the nonprofit sector. She is currently the Program Manager at the Broadway Green Alliance, where she co-authored the greener reopening toolkit and has lectured on sustainable practices at Lincoln Center, FIT, and at Playbills Curtain Up! festival in Times Square. Austin holds a BFA in Dance and a minor in Arts Management from Marymount Manhattan College.
